It can be used to describe anything that relates to or is characteristic of humanity or individuals within a population.

Where we started
The research years
Research first, always. We spent our early years doing the unglamorous work: sitting with users, testing prototypes, designing interfaces for banks and insurers where a confusing screen costs real money. That discipline never left.

How we grew
Becoming full-service
Decades of working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers taught us how software actually gets built. When AI made it possible to carry more of the build ourselves, we were ready. It now runs through our whole process, from research synthesis to prototyping to production code, which means a small team from us delivers what used to take a floor of people.

The same rigour now serves scientists and public health teams alongside our fintech and insurance work. Different domains, same job: understand deeply, design carefully, ship something people trust.

Founded Hominum out of a simple irritation: great design kept dying on the way to production. He leads the studio and its client relationships, and keeps every project honest about what users actually said.
